"I did a bad bad thing."

All day long that one line of that song has been stuck in my head. "I did a bad bad thing." What thing, you ask? Well, I let BJ make breakfast.. aaaaaand, I ate it! :( If I weren't trying to lose weight, this post would be non existent, but I am, so it is! As you know, I get 24 points of food to eat a day and if I plan my day right, I can eat a lot of yummy stuff! Today is NOT one of those days!

BJ made sausage fried rice with cheese.. yeah, it was as good as it sounds. Well, my serving of it cost me 15 points!!! Thats right, 15! No, I'm not kidding and yes that is a lot of points. I've kinda been in starvation mode today because of it. Well, not really, but I sure wish I hadn't of done that especially since it cost me eating my home made salsa(and chips!). Oh well, lesson of the day, don't let BJ cook for me, even though he means well!!!

Everyday is a fight for me to re teach myself new eating habits, but days like today seem to throw my hard work out the window. But I am a LOSER and will continue to be and lose this weight!

1.6lbs and going strong!

I just got back from Weight Watcher's and I lost 1.6lbs this week. Which puts my total weight loss at 14lbs!(Well, maybe 13 point something, lol). While listening to the teacher at this meeting, who speaks really really loudly, I thought how fun it'd be to be a ww teacher. Be in charge of a class a few times a week with fellow like minded people.

I think I'd be good at it. But I'm not skinny enough to apply. I think they want someone who has reached their weight loss goal.. and I'm about 21lbs away from that.

So for breakfast, doesn't fried eggs, sausage and toast with butter and jelly sound good? Mmmmm! Well, I can't have that, exactly. I mean I can have egg whites... maybe a piece or two of sausage and then lite toast, easy on the butter and hold the jelly. Though that doesnt sound as good.

Or there's always cheerios with honey and skim milk. Also, not as yummy.

Ok, off to the kitchen... talk soon.

Grandma's Banana Bread Recipie

3 Cups Flour
2 Cups Sugar
2 Cups Mashed Bananas
1 Cup Oil
3 Eggs
1/4 Tsp Baking Powder
1Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Tsp Cinnamon

Mix dry together, then add everything else. Pour in well greased pans, bake for 350 degrees for one hour. Makes two loaves.

Ok, so this recipie is really yummy!! I LOVE it! After work tonight I started this because my bro in law was coming over and I knew that he and BJ would devour it. I knew as I was making it that I couldn't have any because I didn't have enough points left and my weigh in is tomorrow.
Yes, that's right, I am on Weight Watcher's. Its simple really, I need to lose weight and they are a system that works. Anyways after making the bread, then slicing it and serving it up, I escaped down to the basement to not be tempted. Then a question popped into my head... "How many points are each slice?" Which lead me with this breakdown...

3 Cups Flour- 31.5 points
2 Cups Sugar- 31 points
2 Cups bananas(well i used 3 bananas, that seemed like enough)- 6 points
1 Cup Oil- 57 points
3 Eggs- 6 points
(everything else had 0 pts)

Which makes the total for two loaves 131.5 points. Per loaf is 65.75 points. Granted I don't intend to eat a whole loaf, let alone two, but lets say I sliced a loaf into 10 pieces, that would be 6.5 pts per slice. Then you have to add the points for butter, because everyone knows a freshly baked slice of bread requires butter, and then a glass of milk to wash it all down. SO, for that few minutes of heaven I would have consumed 11.5 points. And I'm allotted only 24 per day.

Tomorrow starts a new week for me, so I might indulge with a slice, maybe sans butter, but I'd have to weigh the odds. Bottom line, that's a LOT of points for anything to eat. I mean, I could have a full meal consisting of pork stirfry, rice, ice cream and a diet dr. pepper for a lot LESS that that one slice of banana bread, good as it is.

As Weight Watcher's says, "I am a loser!" I am going to lose this weight and keep it off. And all the yummy banana bread in the world isn't gonna stop me.

Until next time!
